Simply Looking for Jack

I have no idea how i can possibly describe myself with one word, or even many words, but i can say i'm ruled by memories. While I may not be well cemented to the ground, I can be sure to give your brain a few more wrinkles.

Elizabeth Short Collage by~CaptainDunkenstein
This was a project I was required to do for a class I recently had. It was an Andy Warhol style image of a person. I chose Elizabeth Short in a collage media.
Elizabeth Short was the name of the woman dubbed as “The Black Dahlia”. She was the victim of a brutal murder that happened January 15, 1947, in Los Angeles, California. Her body was severed in half at the waist, her mouth was slashed with an immortalized grin, pieces of flesh were cut out in geometric shapes on different parts of her body, while also having been beaten while she was alive, and being totally drained of blood. Death was due to loss of blood and shock. Her body was posed as if she were dancing similar to a ballerina.
No one was ever caught for the murder of Short, but there has and will always be mass speculation of many suspects. Including suspecting some of the great masters of the Dada art world due to the relation to the “artistic” display of her corpse and their works, such as Man Ray’s ‘Minotaur’, Marcel Duchamp’s ‘Interior view of Etant donnés’, and more. There is also suspicion of Dr.George Hodel who had once taken pictures of Short and had been friends with the Dada group.
